私は自分の人生を架空の雑誌表紙として表現してきました。
今回の展示では、「週刊森の中」という30枚組の架空の娯楽雑誌の表紙画群と、その見開きグラビアをイメージした「隔月刊 泥の中 巻頭グラビア」のシリーズを中心に展示いたします。（長谷川雅子）
長谷川雅子は、暗喩や皮肉、ブラックユーモアを用いて、自身が経験した不幸や怒り、人間関係の愛憎や負の部分を受け入れつつも、それらを「笑い」「滑稽」「冗談」として表現する作品を制作し、ポジティブに転換し昇華します

I have been portraying my own life through the form of fictional magazine covers.
This exhibition primarily features a set of 30 cover paintings for a fictional entertainment magazine called weekly magazine “In the Forest” and a series of bimonthly magazine “In the Mud” inspired by the magazine’s double-page spreads.

Masako Hasegawa creates works that use metaphor, irony, and black humor to confront the misfortunes and anger she has experienced, as well as the love, hatred, and darker aspects of human relationships.
By expressing these themes through “laughter,” “absurdity,” and “jokes,” she transforms them into something positive and sublimates them through her art.
