メタ日本画は伝統の礎に革新の烈風を招き、日本画の未踏の境地を拓かん。墨のみで宇宙の息吹を紙面に刻印する。
武士の躍動や大仏の慈眼、生命の脈動を伝える。心の深淵より湧き出づる線は、無限の空間に寂寥の韻律を奏でる。
東洋の奥秘に根ざした水墨の世界、そこでは、古の魂が墨の濃淡に生き、宇宙の律動が静かに響き渡る。

天明屋尚は1966年生まれの現代美術家です。
レコード会社のアートディレクターなどを経た後、現代美術家として活動しています。
華美(過美)で覇格(破格)な美の系譜「BASARA」や「ネオ日本画」のコンセプトを核に作品を制作しています。
第17回シドニー・ビエンナーレなど国内外での展覧会、新聞挿画連載、雑誌絵連載、映画劇中画、執筆、展覧会企画やキュレーション、ギャラリーのアドバイザー、画家のプロデュースなど、その活動は多岐にわたります。

Meta-Nihonga summons a fierce wind of innovation upon the foundation of tradition, seeking to open an uncharted frontier of Japanese painting. With ink alone, it engraves the breath of the cosmos upon the surface of paper. It conveys the dynamism of the warrior, the compassionate gaze of the Great Buddha, and the pulsation of life.
Lines welling up from the depths of the heart play a melody of solitude across infinite space. Rooted in the profound mysteries of the East, the world of ink painting, there ancient souls live within gradations of black, and the cadence of the universe reverberates in quiet stillness.

Hisashi Tenmyouya is a contemporary artist born in 1966.
After working as an art director for a record company, he began his career as a contemporary artist.
His work is centered on the concepts of “BASARA,” a lineage of extravagant (overly ornate) and unconventional aesthetics, and “Neo-Nihonga.”
He has participated in exhibitions both in Japan and internationally, including the 17th Sydney Biennale. His activities span a wide range of fields, such as newspaper illustration series, magazine illustration series, paintings for film scenes, writing, exhibition planning and curation, advising galleries, and producing painters.
