「 時が降る 」

「本展は時の流れがテーマです。
自分が動けない時期があり、自身に変化がない中、周囲が変化している感覚は閉塞感や無力感を強めました。
時は流れつつも、静止したような日常を自分なりに解釈しながら表現することを試みました。
作品から何かしらの熱量を感じてもらえれば幸いです」 （鈴木琢未）
鈴木琢未氏は、多摩美術大学大学院日本画研究領域を修了しましたが、テーマやモチーフ・使用する画材、筆法等について、ジャンルに縛られず自らのコンセプトに沿うように自由に選び取り作品を制作します。
日常に潜む違和感やギャップ、他者と自分との関係性、自分の心のうちにある欲望などを時に醜悪にも捉えながらも、一方でそこに作家が感じた美しさや強さなど、一義的な解釈に収まらない物事の多面性を作中に表現します。それらがどこかで鑑賞者の主観的な記憶や経験などと共鳴し、鑑賞者それぞれに多様な作品の解釈を可能にします。
近年は、変化に富んだ様々なモチーフや作風を模索し挑んできましたが、本展では今一度、作家の原点的な作風に立ち返った日常の中の違和感を表現するような作品も含めて発表いたします。

“The theme of this exhibition is the passage of time.
There was a time when I was unable to move, and the sensation that my surroundings were changing while nothing changed about me reinforced my sense of blockage and powerlessness.
I attempted to express my own interpretation of the still-still everyday life, even as time flows.
I hope that you can feel some kind of passion from the work.” (Takumi Suzuki)
Takumi Suzuki graduated from the Japanese painting major of Tama Art University Graduate School, but he is not bound by genre and freely chooses themes, motifs, materials, brushwork, etc. to suit his own concept.
He captures the discomfort and gaps hidden in everyday life, the relationship between others and himself, and the desires in his heart, sometimes reckoning them as ugly things , but at the same time, he expresses the multifaceted nature of things that cannot be interpreted in a single way, such as the beauty and strength that he feels in them. These resonate with the subjective memories and experiences of the viewer, allowing each viewer to interpret the works in a variety of ways.
In recent years, he has explored and challenged himself with a variety of motifs and styles, but in this exhibition, he will also once again present works that express the discomfort in everyday life, returning to the artist’s original style.
