石野平四郎は粘土素材を媒体としてフィギュア造形表現と彫刻表現を融合したような独自の制作工程、技法を用いて､目に見えないエネルギー体を幻獣や怪獣、神々など超常的な存在として実体化する美術家・造形作家です。
自分が見ている「奇妙で美しい世界」を共有したい､または、それに対峙してほしいと感じ､その変換装置の役割となる造形をすることを天命として感じ、制作し続けています｡
自身の持つ造形表現とテーマが孕む問題、立ち位置の表明をするためメインカルチャーとサブカルチャーを横断しながら新たなジャンルの確立を探求し芸術の細分化を試みます。
蔦本大樹は青銅などの素材で「時間の痕跡」を主軸に未知の古代遺物を創造するように作品を制作しています。
現代のように膨大な情報にアクセスできなかった遠い祖先の記憶は古代遺物に刻み込まれており、純度の高い“願い”や“憧れ”が土偶や埴輪、青銅器などの形となって現れているのではないか、と思いを巡らせます。
古代の遺物と対峙した時に感じる途方もない時間とロマンを再構成し、現代に新たな痕跡として記録するため作品を制作しています。
今回の展覧会タイトルは「シーラカンス」です。「誰しもが心に持つ変わろうとしたが変わらない最も美しい姿の何か」を表現したもので、本展ではこれらをテーマにした作品を発表いたします。

Heishiro Ishino is an artist and sculptor who uses clay as a medium and a unique production process that fuses figurine modeling techniques with sculptural expression to materialize invisible energy bodies as supernatural beings such as mythical beasts, monsters, and gods.
He wants to share “the strange and beautiful world” he sees, or wants people to confront it, and he feels it is his divine mission to create sculptures that act as a conversion device, and continues to create.
In order to express the issues and positions inherent in his own sculptural expression and themes, he explores the establishment of new genres while crossing mainstream culture and subculture, and attempts to subdivide art.
Daiki Tsutamoto creates works using materials such as bronze, focusing on “traces of time” as if creating unknown ancient relics.
He speculates that the memories of our distant ancestors, who did not have access to vast amounts of information like modern people, are engraved in ancient relics, and that their pure “wishes” and “longings” are expressed in the form of clay figurines, haniwa, bronze vessels, etc.
He creates works to reconstruct the incredible huge time and romance that he felt when confronted with ancient relics, and record them as new traces in the present day.
The title of this two-person exhibition is “Coelacanth”.
It expresses “something that everyone has in their heart that tries to change but don’t change and remains the most beautiful figure”, and in this exhibition, they presents works based on this theme.
